We cant believe its November already!
Here are the weed rambles/blitzes coming up this month… come and join us to learn how to identify and control weeds or share your knowledge with others :
- Friday 15th November | 10am to noon | Pacific Bay – we’ve cleared a path in to the ginger in the council gully and need a team to help cut n paste the ginger both here and some on private land next door. Meet at the pond just as the road levels out (opposite letterboxes of no 23 & 25).
- Friday 22nd November| 10am to noon | Kowharewa Bay – working on the low tide to access areas around the rocks towards Pacific Bay, main target sweet pea bush and cotoneaster. Meet at the picnic table near the toilets.
- Friday 29th November |10am to noon | Woolleys Bay – working in the bay to drill and fill century plants, control cotoneaster, mexican daisy and other pesky plants that are making their way into this space. Meet at the north end.

What to wear sturdy shoes, long clothes, hats, coats and whatever you need to protect yourself from the weather.
What to bring gardening gloves and hand tools if you have them (or you can borrow them from our kit) , bring your own allergy medication (we have a basic first aid kit), bring water to keep you hydrated.
