VISIT REGENERATNIG FORESTS!

Kia ora koutou,

next week we will start a series of visits to private and community reforestation projects. 

Pampas grass is one of the most invasive weds after felling pines

The purpose is :

- to help the process with our volunteering weeding support, 

- to compare different results in different areas and conditions, recognizing variability of vegetation in terms of both invasive and native species 

- to connect people who are involving a lot of energy into this type of work and need to exchange ideas and help among each other

This process could also hopefully inspire other landowners who desire to start a similar project in their property, to enhance the biodiversity of their area, attract native birds and create healthier, richer and more natural spaces.
