Red Rock Bay (between Whangaumu Bay and Te Maika Spit) | Drill and Fill Mission
Work involves clambering up relatively steep banks, working in pairs, using drills and herbicide to tackle the mature privet along the bays edge.

This event will run at 9am to 11am (at latest) on the next mid morning low tide watch this space for the new date.
A great way to learn the ‘Drill and Fill’ or ‘Frilling Method’ used for larger trees.
Please note: events are weather dependent so please RSVP for updates.
What to wear | sturdy shoes, long clothes, weather protection.
What to bring | gardening gloves if you have them (or you can borrow them from our kit), bring your own allergy medication (we have a basic first aid kit) and water to stay hydrated.
