Choose Tuesdays to help the environment!

2021 Choose Tuesdays to help the environment by joining our weed action team at 9:30am

We are holding a volunteer event every Tuesday starting at 9:30am !

This Tuesday 2nd February we are at the Ngunguru Sandspit – please see the information below and RSVP to Wendy on 022 526 1972  to be kept up to date.

The Work | You can work at your own pace – there is something for everyone here, from tackling the bigger weeds to sitting in a patch of seedlings and plucking them out.

What to wear | sturdy shoes, long clothes, weather protection.

What to bring | gardening gloves and hand tools if you have them (or you can borrow them from our kit), bring your own allergy medication (we have a basic first aid kit), water to stay hydrated and a snack to keep you energised.

 

Ngunguru Sandspit Information

Please RSVP to be kept up to date -Meet at 9:30 for water transport by the Norfolk Pine or 9:40 on the Spit by the orange and black marker opposite the Norfolk Pine.

Finish at 12:30pm back on Ngunguru Road.

Water transport may be able to be provided from the Norfolk Pine on Ngunguru Road (opposite No.1943) MOST fortnights. RSVP to ensure we’ve got a boat for you , if you have your own transport and can meet us on the sandspit opposite where you can see a black and orange striped post.
